The role involves clinical support, sales responsibilities, and extensive travel within the assigned territory.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and pursue opportunities to develop new businessAssist physicians with case planning to determine acceptable patient selection, device selection, and clinical support including diagnostic imaging analysis and pre-implant strategy of Aortic casesLiaison for customer (direct – physicians and indirect – business units and distributors) to Customer Service, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance, and Research and DevelopmentInterface/correspond with physicians/clinicians and Terumo Aortic associates to address specific issues relating to stent-graft design specificationsMonitor/expedite turnaround time for patient specific stent-graft systemsEnsure quality system compliance for all departmental responsibilitiesExtensive Travel domestically and occasional travel internationallyTrain customers on the safe and efficacious use of the Company’s productsProvide technical explanation and demonstration of products to customersConsult with physicians and laboratory staff during implantsRepresent Terumo Aortic Inc. during surgeries and implants of products to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistanceMay deliver on site training programs for customers or institutionsMay assist in developing training materialsWill provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel (“train the trainer”)SkillsManage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively with sales and healthcare professionalProficient with computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)Attention to fine detailAnalytical, problem solvingAbility to coach others on use of product and clinical applicationsExcellent organizational skillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience requiredMinimum ten (10) years' experience in medical device sales calling on Aortic specialties such as vascular surgery, interventional radiology, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiologyEndovascular sales of $2.5MM and/or plan achievement in 3 consecutive yearsExperience in clinically supporting Aortic cases in an interventional lab and/or operating room settingProficiency in reading and interpreting CT, MRI, and Angiography imagesUnderstanding on bringing new products through the supply chain of a hospitalWorking knowledge of developing purchasing agreements, presenting new products to New Product Committees, and maintaining inventory controlMust be willing to continually learn about the Company's products and related processes. Maintain current on industry related journals, articles, and periodicals.
