[Remote] Senior Analyst, AML Know Your Customer

They are seeking a Senior Analyst, AML Know Your Customer to join their Compliance Operations team, responsible for conducting detailed periodic reviews and projects in the KYC Team, ensuring thorough customer due diligence and risk assessment.ResponsibilitiesReviewing higher and high risk client relationships to ensure that customer due diligence is complete and accurate and meets applicable specialized and enhanced due diligence requirementsCritically examining customer profile changes and documentation obtained during the periodic review process for material changes in risk factors and red flagsUpdating internal records to enrich customer KYC filesEnsuring the customer's nature of business aligns with their business models and profilesEscalating and drafting executive level risk acceptance memos for customers with red flags and higher risk attributes and succinctly summarizing findings and next stepsCollaborating with the Customer Service team and Relationship Managers to obtain all necessary supporting documentation to fulfill KYC due diligence requirementsPartnering with team leads within the region to facilitate knowledge sharingMonitoring industry trends relative to money laundering or fraud schemes including detection and reporting of suspicious activityPerforming any general administration and ancillary activities as may be required and related to the above functions in accordance with the business requirements of the CompanySkillsA passion for harnessing the power of digital currency and blockchain technology and services built on top of itDeep understanding of blockchain technologyAn innovative and creative mind looking to suggest new solutions to old problemsProven experience working collaboratively and effectively with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and internal teamsAppreciate direct communicationExperience and comfort working in an ever changing industry and the flexibility to quickly react to changing demandsNever tired of learningB.A./B.S. degree; quantitative or technical degree a plus4+ years of relevant experience in AML and KYC reviews for corporates, with 2 years in crypto, preferable in ongoing monitoring of higher and high risk customersDetail-oriented, highly analytical and comfortable digging into dataStrong communication skills and presence, ability to interface with internal and external teamsWork effectively in a fully remote environment with teams spanning multiple time-zones (our team is across the US, Europe & APAC)Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuiteCAMS, CFCS or CFE certification is a plusCompany OverviewCircle helps businesses and developers utilize stablecoins for payments and online commerce.
