Health Management Associates is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting AI-enabled software solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The role involves collaboration with various teams to deliver secure and reliable technology solutions for healthcare environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, deploy, and support scalable AI-enabled applications, APIs, and data solutionsTranslate business and client requirements into secure, production-ready technical solutionsDevelop cloud, data engineering, and AI/ML solutions using Azure, Databricks, and related technologiesBuild and integrate AI-enabled capabilities including generative AI, predictive analytics, automation, and NLP solutionsApply modern software engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and infrastructure-as-code methodologiesSupport solution optimization, troubleshooting, scalability, and operational performance improvementDesign and support secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that protect healthcare and other sensitive dataApply healthcare privacy, security, governance, and compliance standards throughout the solution lifecycleSupport platform reliability, monitoring, and operational improvement initiativesCollaborate with product owners, consultants, data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutionsContribute to technical standards, architecture discussions, best practices, and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain current knowledge of emerging AI, cloud, healthcare data, and software engineering trendsSupport a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlinesSkillsMinimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, information systems, or related field requiredEquivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience requiredExperience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure environments requiredExperience developing AI-enabled applications, data engineering solutions, and cloud-native technologies requiredStrong software engineering and application development skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture, and scalable data engineering practicesUnderstanding of AI/ML solution development, deployment, and operationalization conceptsKnowledge of healthcare privacy, security, compliance, and governance requirementsAbility to design and support secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutionsStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skillsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgmentMaster's degree and relevant cloud, data engineering, or AI/ML certifications preferredExperience working with healthcare data, HIPAA-regulated environments, or other highly regulated industries preferredCompany OverviewHealth Management Associates is an independent research and consulting firm specializing in publicly funded healthcare.
