[Remote] Senior AI Security Engineer

They are seeking an experienced AI Security Engineer to lead the development and implementation of security controls and governance frameworks for AI technologies across the organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures governing the use of AI technologiesPartner with Legal, Privacy, and Technology teams to establish responsible AI governance frameworksMonitor evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards related to AI security, privacy, and governanceConduct security and risk assessments of AI platforms, models, and applicationsReview proposed AI use cases and provide security recommendations prior to deploymentDevelop risk mitigation strategies and compensating controls for identified AI-related threatsDesign and implement technical guardrails for AI platforms and applicationsDevelop secure integration patterns for AI services and APIsEvaluate and recommend AI security tools and technologiesCollaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into AI-enabled applicationsDevelop monitoring and detection capabilities for AI-related security eventsProvide guidance and training to employees on secure and responsible AI usageSkillsBA/BS or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field5+ years experience in information security-related rolesKnowledge of AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI platforms and AI development toolsDirect, hands-on experience with AI platforms such as OpenAI (ChatGPT, Codex), Anthropic (Claude Chat, Code, Cowork), Cursor, Google Gemini and AWS BedrockExperience with cloud security or application securityDeep understanding of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO42001 OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications and MITRE ATLASProfessional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, ISO42001 or other AI security certificationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExtremely organized and able to oversee multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel to Austin TX occasionally and to India 2 times a yearBenefitsCompetitive SalaryMedical, Vision & Dental Benefits401kStock OptionsHSA ContributionLearning StipendFlexible PTO PolicyQuarterly company ME (mental escape) daysGenerous Parental Leave policyHome Office StipendMobile Phone ReimbursementHome Internet Reimbursement for Remote EmployeesAnniversary & Milestone CelebrationsCompany OverviewOntic’s Connected Intelligence Platform centralizes security operations and data into one system of record.
