The Senior Accounting Manager oversees accounting operations for multiple clients, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and operational efficiency while fostering team development and process optimization.ResponsibilitiesServe as the senior accounting lead across multiple clients, ensuring all deliverables are consistently accurate, timely, and aligned with expectationsDevelop a deep understanding of client operations, transaction flows, financial drivers, and reporting structuresIdentify and manage deviations between client processes and Dine standards, determining appropriate solutionsLead client discussions to present financials, explain variances, and provide clear, actionable insightsAdvise clients on process improvements, controls, and best practicesOversee all aspects of the accounting cycle and close process across teams, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance by driving strong team execution and process discipline. Perform high-level review of financial statements, reconciliations, and complex accounting areas, focusing on anomalies and risks versus routine error correctionIdentify risks, irregularities, and inefficiencies, and take action to resolve or escalate them as appropriateEnsure financial outputs are consistently accurate by developing team capability, strengthening processes, and reducing upstream errorsIndependently identify issues, develop solutions, and drive resolution with minimal escalationServe as a trusted escalation point for Accounting Managers, clients, and internal teamsOperate confidently within established standards and client environments, ensuring consistent execution across assigned clients while escalating decisions that impact broader processes, standards, or high-risk areas. Translate complex challenges into clear, actionable plansLead, mentor, and develop Accounting Managers and offshore teamsEnsure accountability for quality, timelines, and ownership across the teamStrengthen team capability in technical accounting, problem-solving, and client managementEnsure effective delegation and alignment of responsibilities on assigned clientsEvaluate workflows and team performance, including hours vs. budget, to identify inefficienciesDrive improvements that reduce rework, streamline processes, and free up timeEnsure processes are scalable, consistent, and aligned with company standardsIdentify systemic issues across clients, teams, and processesConduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutionsEnsure improvements are sustained and issues do not recurPromote a culture of proactively raising and resolving issuesMaintain deep expertise in Dine systems, tools, workflows, and accounting standardsEnsure consistency across clients while managing necessary deviationsContribute to broader operational improvements and company initiativesSupport scalable growth by improving clarity, reducing friction, and enhancing processesOperate independently with minimal need for VP/Director involvementDevelop deep, connected understanding of clients, systems, and financial dataProactively solve and prevent issues across operationsContinuously improve how work is performed to support scalability and growthSkillsRestaurant365 experience strongly preferred or experience with at least two other ERPs requiredMulti-unit restaurant accounting experience requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two years in a supervisory or management roleAdvanced accounting expertise, including full-cycle oversight, complex reconciliations, and financial statement review with a focus on risk and anomaliesExceptional client management and communication skills, including the ability to present financials, explain insights, and advise on process improvementsDemonstrate consistent judgment, ownership, and follow-through to build trust and operate with increasing autonomyProcess optimization mindset with the ability to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and support scalable, standardized operationsStrong organizational and oversight capabilities, managing multiple clients, teams, and priorities while ensuring consistent, high-quality executionCPA preferred but not requiredBenefitsGreat benefits from day one.
