Remote Senior Accounting Lead
Position OverviewA growing organization is seeking a Controller-level accounting leader (minimum 10+ years of experience) to drive automation within the month-end close process, lead technical accounting guidance, and implement a robust project management tracking system.This is a high-impact role focused on increasing efficiency, strengthening accounting standards, and improving operational visibility.Key ResponsibilitiesLead automation and process improvements to reduce the average close timeline to 7 days or less.Serve as the primary authority on technical accounting and GAAP research.Develop and maintain a project management tool to provide real-time visibility into close status and monthly deliverables.Manage and oversee at least three client engagements within the first year.Mentor staff and ensure high-quality financial reporting and internal controls.RequirementsQualificationsMinimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibility.Strong technical accounting expertise and GAAP knowledge.Proven experience improving and accelerating close processes.Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.CPA preferred.This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who excels at driving efficiency, implementing structure, and leading complex accounting operations.
