They are seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst who will communicate financial information and oversee nonprofit financial matters to ensure proper procedures and processes are followed. This role involves engaging with projects, financial modeling, reporting, and compliance activities to support the organization's growth.ResponsibilitiesDesign and oversee financial systems, processes, protocols, policies, and proceduresOversee financial services that affect divisions, under direction of the CFO to include:Accounts Payable (AP) / 1099 Filings / Accounts Receivable (AR)Ensuring payments are recorded in SalesForce (SF)Cash receipt workpaper updatesEnsuring restricted net assets (RNA) workpapers are updatedSending out divisional financial statements each monthPreparing monthly financial packagesHandling projects that affect specific divisional needsEnsure compliance with nonprofit best practices and requirementsMonitor and control cash flow, including managing accounts receivable and accounts payableMaintain the organization's Rapid Reporting, Power BI, Dashboards, and AnalyticsImplement and support data-driven principles to guide the foundation’s workDevelop and forecast budgets as well as provide financial concierge services to projects/project directorsPrepare timely financial statements, ensuring prompt and accurate month, quarter, and year-end closingsManage audits and financial compliance activitiesDrive financial accountability by identifying and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting, contributing to tracking and reporting on engagement outputs and outcomes for both internally and externally submitted reportsProvide reporting to senior management for cash-flow, accounts payable and receivablesPerform special projects and internal audits as needed for CFO and organizationAssist in gathering information for the annual audit and any compliance activitiesPrepare timely financial statements, ensuring prompt and accurate month, quarter, and year-end closingsPrepare and Review monthly reconciliations for financial accuracyProvide reporting to senior management for cash-flow, administer payroll, accounts payable and receivablesContribute to and review strategic plans and financial planning for each organizational divisionReview effect of potential business decisions on financial policy and financial outlookCollaborating with partners or funders as beneficial and assignedPrep and Schedule Meetings with Divisions on Monthly Basis and as neededWork with the project directors and assist in the annual budgeting process and monthly forecastingWork with the project directors on cash projects, financial analysis, and monthly forecastsAlign to strategic plans to ensure finance department complianceProvide ongoing process improvement changesManaging and leading projects related to finance, accounting, audit, and related issuesProviding audit support for both external and internal audit engagementsSupporting accounting and financial quality control standards and GAAP requirementsLeading reconciliation of advanced GL related issuesRevenue, expense, and trend analysis actions and projectsAssisting with budget, financial analysis and related projectsSupporting services to a portfolio of projects across the organizationSupporting grant accounting and financial services across the organizationManage and ensure compliance functions across the entity in inter-related aresDesigning and testing internal audit functions for the organizationDesigning and testing compliance functions for the organizationDesigning and testing grant related compliance functions for the organizationSpecial Projects as assigned by CFCO related to Finance, Accounting, and ComplianceSkillsMust possess advanced soft skills and an ability to communicate complicated, financial, and business information to non-financial audiences and stakeholdersMust possess the ability to engage with projects, programs, and stakeholders in strategic conversations and dialogue with an energetic, dynamic, passionate, and problem-solver mindsetAdvanced Accounting/Journal Entry/GAAP ExperienceMUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in Accounting from (AACSB Accreditation)MUST HAVE STRONG/ADVANCED Excel Skills (Formulas, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)MUST HAVE STRONG/ADVANCED Journal Entry Skills (Debits/Credits/Financial Statements.)5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modelingAbility to present financial information to a non-financial audienceWorking knowledge of financial strategiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, Oracle, or related financial systemsProven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar roleHands-on experience with financial and statistical softwareExpertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)Familiarity with finance databasesUnderstanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP)Up-to-date with accounting laws and regulationsAbility to present financial data using detailed reports and chartsDemonstrable strategic thinking skillsConfidentiality in handling sensitive financial informationStrong technical accounting background with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting requirementsStrong analytical and
