[Remote] Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

The Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting is responsible for supporting the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, serving as a technical accounting resource for complex transactions.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules, in accordance with U.S. GAAPSupport consolidation activities and intercompany eliminationsEnsure timely and accurate reporting for external stakeholdersResearch, analyze, and document accounting conclusions for complex and non-routine transactions (e.g., debt instruments, revenue arrangements, leases, derivatives)Prepare technical accounting memos under U.S. GAAP to support audit and compliance requirementsEvaluate the impact of new accounting standards (ASUs) and assist with implementation across the organizationProvide guidance to business partners on accounting implications of transactionsPartner with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment and reportingSupport special projects, including debt transactions, acquisitions, and system implementationsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)3–6+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or industry financial reportingExperience with SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP technical accounting requiredStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP reporting requirementsStrong knowledge of financial statement preparation and disclosuresExperience with financial systems (e.g., ERP systems such as NetSuite)Advanced Excel skillsCPA license is strongly preferredBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance401(k) retirement planflexible spending and HSA accountsPaid holidaysPTOEmployee assistance programOther company benefitsA fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture focused on innovationA flexible, autonomous work environmentA culture of respect, learning, and excellenceExperienced, highly talented experts as team peersGrowth and travel opportunitiesA team of change-makers having a significant impact on people and the planetCompany OverviewEdged is an information technology company that launches a global network of sustainable data centers and energy infrastructure.
