[Remote] Senior Accountant, Tax & Financial Reporting

This role supports the company’s tax and SEC reporting teams, focusing on U.S. corporate income tax compliance and income tax accounting under ASC 740.ResponsibilitiesPrepare federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax paymentsAssist with gathering, analyzing, and reconciling data required for tax compliance filingsCoordinate with external tax advisors as needed to support compliance and audit processesAssist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740 which includes calculating current and deferred tax expense, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and valuation allowances, among other aspectsSupport tax-related and other financial statement disclosures in the company’s SEC filingsAssist with return-to-provision reconciliationsEnsure compliance with SOX controlsSupport compliance and planning for state and local income, franchise, and gross receipts taxesAssist with state apportionment calculations and nexus analysisProvide assistance as needed with sales and use tax mattersRespond to state and local tax notices and assist with audits as neededConduct tax research on federal, state, and local tax issues and document conclusions as neededMonitor changes in tax law and assess potential impacts to the companySupport tax planning initiatives and special projects as assignedSupport financial reporting automation initiativesAssist with SEC reporting disclosure support and accuracySkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCPA license required3+ years of relevant corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax departmentStrong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 income tax accountingProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysisStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholdersAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and complianceProactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and controls within the tax functionMaster's degree in Accounting or Taxation is a plusExperience with corporate tax software such as CorpTax preferredExperience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferredFamiliarity with tax research platforms such as Bloomberg Tax (BNA), CCH, and/or Thomson Reuters CheckpointExposure to multi-state and sales/use tax complianceBenefitsOur traditional healthcare benefits include three (3) Medical plan options, two (2) Dental plan options, and a Vision plan from which to choose.Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and Accident plans are offered on a voluntary basis.We offer pre-tax savings options including a partially employer funded Health Savings Account and employee Flexible Savings Accounts including healthcare, dependent care, and transportation savings options.We provide company paid Basic Life and AD&D, Short and Long-Term Disability benefits.
