[Remote] Senior Accountant (Revenue)

They are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team, focusing on revenue accounting and recognition under ASC 606, while collaborating with various teams to manage complex datasets and drive process improvements.ResponsibilitiesSupport month-end revenue close, including preparation of revenue related journal entriesAssist with reconciliations of invoices, deposits, and other revenue-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling itemsReview customer contracts to identify performance obligations, determine transaction price, and assess allocation and recognition timing under ASC 606Maintain and continuously improve revenue recognition documentation and memos for audit and technical accounting purposesReconcile revenue sub-ledger to the general ledger across Salesforce and Stripe, and contract management system in a high-volume transaction environmentRun SQL queries to extract and analyze revenue data from our data warehouse (Snowflake), supporting reconciliations, variance analysis, and ad hoc investigationsIdentify and investigate data anomalies, escalate systemic issues, and partner with Billings, Finance System and Rev Ops to resolve root causesBuild and own scalable reconciliation frameworks that can handle volume and complexityPrepare PBC schedules, technical accounting memos, and supporting documentation for external auditors (Big 4)Support ongoing revenue recognition remediation efforts and process improvement initiativesAssist with ad hoc technical accounting research and policy documentation as the business evolvesCollaborate with Finance System, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Billing teams on contract review and order-to-cash process designSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with meaningful focus on revenue accountingStrong working knowledge of ASC 606, including contract reviewExperience working with high transaction volumes and the ability to navigate messy, ambiguous dataStrong analytical and problem-solving skills — you dig into the details and communicate findings clearlyExcellent communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with Billings, Legal and Rev OpsAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environmentCPA certification or active candidacyBig 4 or public accounting experience with revenue-focused clientsProficiency in NetSuiteSQL proficiency — ability to run queries against large datasets for revenue analysis and reconciliation supportFamiliarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehousesSaaS or high-growth startup experienceBenefitsEquityCompany bonus or sales commissions/bonuses401(k) planAt least 10 paid holidays per yearFlex PTOParental leaveEmployee assistance program and wellbeing benefitsGlobal travel coverageLife/AD&D/STD/LTD insuranceFSA/HSA and medical, dental, and vision benefitsCompany OverviewBuilding the industry’s first fully agentic GTM platform, transforming how revenue teams execute It was founded in 2015, and is headquartered in San Francisco, California, USA, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
