[Remote] Senior Accountant, Financial Close

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the month-end, quarterly, and financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insights that drive growth and profitability.ResponsibilitiesPerform both routine and non-routine/complex monthly close responsibilitiesAnalyze books and records on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completenessEnsure compliance with GAAP and international statutory reporting requirementsLiaise with external audit firm on both routine and non routine mattersParticipate in and guide the the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controlsAssist in designing new processes and enhance existing ones; implement scalable processes to support the Paxos’ growth, and drive continuous improvementEnable Paxos to meet internal and external reporting requirementsImmerse yourself in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency for enterprises and investors, our regulation-first approach, and more!SkillsA minimum of 3 years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and private/in-house accountingExperience in start-ups and/or financial servicesBachelor's degree in accounting, CPA license and strong knowledge of GAAPExperience overseeing and managing accounting staffProficiency with NetSuite ERP or other cloud-based accounting softwareStrong drive to continuously improve the accounting operations, controls and financial reporting processes, including leveraging systems and technologies to improve workflows and scalabilityExcellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skillsCompany OverviewPaxos is a regulated financial institution building infrastructure to enable movement between physical and digital assets.
