[Remote] Senior Accountant (Eastern Time Zone)

The Senior Accountant will be actively involved in the monthly close process, focusing on revenue, accounts receivable, and process improvements, while also supporting audits and compliance efforts.ResponsibilitiesActive involvement in the monthly close process, owning the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and workpapersFocus areas include, but are not limited to, Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Customer on Account, and Security DepositsIdentify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of monthly close; use ERP system effectively, with a keen eye on improving processesConduct fluctuation and variance analysis and provide insightful explanations to help facilitate accurate monthly financial resultsWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data used for accounting purposesAssist with annual audits and tax compliance data preparationDocument internal controls and current processes to ensure repeatabilityActively participate in process improvement efforts and drive automation and utilization of AI for routine processes within the Accounting TeamPerform strategic initiatives and projects to support the growth and scalability of the company and assist with other accounting initiatives and ad hoc projects as neededSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA designation (or working towards a CPA) strongly preferredMinimum of 3 years of related accounting experience working in an accounting function; prior public accounting experience preferredBig 4 experience in audit or tax and industry experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, financial analysis, and reportingAdvanced Excel skills with experience manipulating large datasets using features such as XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Dynamic Arrays, Preferred Power QueryExperience with enterprise software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Workday) preferredAbility to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties and strong attention to detailPositive, driven, and accurate self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic environmentExcellent communication and organizational skills, including time management and prioritization abilities to meet tight deadlines and work under pressureFlexible and proactive, willing to jump in wherever neededCPA designation (or working towards a CPA) strongly preferredPrior public accounting experience preferredBig 4 experience in audit or tax and industry experience strongly preferredExperience with enterprise software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Workday) preferredCompany OverviewBlinkRx is a prescription access platform that connects patients to branded medications, ensuring transparent pricing and home delivery.
