[Remote] Senior Accountant, AP - Dealer Receivables
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aqua Finance, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant specializing in Dealer Receivables. This role is responsible for accurate accounting and reporting of dealer-related receivable balances, managing financial controls, and collaborating with third-party vendors and business partners.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and reconcile dealer receivable accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for premium recapture and ancillary productsImplement automation and streamline the creation of dealer invoices and statements including sending and receiving invoices/ payments to ensure they are identified and applied correctlyPartner with sales team to ensure dealer participation recapture terms are appropriate and current including updating reporting calculation logicServe as the primary accounting point of contact for crossâfunctional initiatives with business partners, dealers and vendors that impact financial reporting, invoicing, payments and dealer transactionsDevelop and perform monthly variance analysis and reporting for dealers and business leaders to make informed decisionsEnsure customers are refunded for ancillary products in accordance with state regulations and properly tracked within the accountResearch and resolve discrepancies / complaints related to dealer paymentsIdentify, implement and manage solutions to improve processes focused around legal and accounting regulations to ensure compliance is achievedSupport and validate dealer disbursement activity through the Dealer Disbursement Application (DDA) through net settlementTranslate operational or system changes into clear accounting requirements, ensuring downstream impacts are identified and addressed earlyEscalate crossâfunctional risks, issues, or ambiguities promptly with clear options and recommended solutionsMay evaluate new accounting processes and perform accounting research on new business transactions to determine appropriate accountingOther duties as assigned by Accounting Operations ManagementSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, or commensurate work experience requiredCPA required4 years of progressive experience in accounting requiredProficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent reasoning and critical thinking skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage expectations in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills2 years public accounting and/or internal controls experience preferredAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets preferredCompany OverviewAqua Finance, Inc. is a financial services firm headquartered in Wisconsin.
