[Remote] Senior Accountant (Accounts Payable)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cents is a New York-based technology company that is transforming the laundry industry through its innovative platform. The Senior Accountant will manage the end-to-end accounts payable cycle, maintain the general ledger, and assist with audits and tax preparations to support the company's rapid growth.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Manage end-to-end AP cycle: invoice receipt, coding, approval routing, and payment processing
ā¢ Maintain general ledger, reconcile balance sheet accounts (cash, prepaids, accounts payable, others) and prepare journal entries
ā¢ Maintain vendor master data and enforce W-9/1099 compliance
ā¢ Assist with audit, tax preparation, and year-end closing
ā¢ Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field preferred
ā¢ Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping
ā¢ Proficiency in accounting software, specifically, NetSuite, Ramp, Airbase, Avalara, SalesForce and others
ā¢ Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
ā¢ Experience with payroll processing and tax filings
ā¢ Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
ā¢ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
ā¢ CPA certification is a plus
ā¢ Strong written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Knowledge of ERP systems and financial analytics tools
ā¢ Experience with sales taxes and sales tax filings
