[Remote] Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will support the Finance team by enhancing accounting processes and controls, managing the month-end close, and providing financial insights while ensuring compliance with accounting policies.ResponsibilitiesOwning key components of the monthly close across multiple areas of the P&L, including payroll and royalty-related expense accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting within a high-volume, fast-paced environmentPreparing and reviewing complex journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, with a strong emphasis on variance analysisInvestigating financial fluctuations, identifying root causes, and partnering with stakeholders to resolve discrepanciesPartnering directly with FP&A and business leaders to analyse expense trends, support forecasting activities, and provide actionable financial insightsSupporting accounting activities across the business while ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsAssisting with the year-end audit process, including preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and supporting technical accounting documentationHelping to strengthen and improve internal controls, close processes, and financial reporting workflowsIdentifying opportunities to increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and streamline accounting processesSupporting ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requiredSkillsAt least 1 year of experience in a Senior Accountant role with demonstrated ownership of complex P&L expense accounts and balance sheet reconciliations3+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced environmentComfortable owning variance analysis end-to-end, including identifying issues, understanding drivers, and recommending solutionsExperience partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Finance, or business stakeholdersStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirementsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detailHighly organised and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA certification is a plus)Public Accounting experience is strongly preferredExperience supporting external audits and working directly with auditorsExposure to ASC 842 or other technical accounting areasExperience contributing to process improvement, automation, or internal control initiativesExperience working within a SaaS, technology, or other high-growth environmentBenefitsBenefits eligibility effective DAY ONE including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), 401(k) Match, and moreUnlimited Planned Paid Time OffGlobal Mental Health SupportOn-Demand Learning & DevelopmentQuarterly paid volunteer daysLucrative Employee Referral Program (eligible for prior to your first day)Company-wide mentor programCompany OverviewBullhorn provides cloud-based CRM solutions for companies in business services industries.
