[Remote] Senior Accountant

This individual will serve as a key partner to the Accounting Manager, maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.ResponsibilitiesLead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, intercompany transactions, sales tax, and foreign currency accountingReview and support revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606 across subscription and professional services revenue streamsPartner with accounting leadership to improve close processes, identify risks, and ensure accurate financial reportingAssist with acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvement initiativesSupport external audits and provide financial analysis as neededParticipate in special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred3+ years of progressive accounting experience within a private equity-backed environment requiredStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognitionExperience with cloud-based ERP systems; NetSuite and Avalara preferredAdvanced Excel skills and strong attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage competing priorities, work independently, and meet deadlinesComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentDedicated home office environment with reliable high-speed internet accessCPA preferredSaaS, subscription-based, or recurring revenue experience strongly preferredNetSuite and Avalara preferredCompany OverviewVaco is the Talent Solutions division of Highspring, a leading global professional services organization.
