[Remote] Senior Accountant

They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support multi-entity month-end close processes, prepare financial reports, and drive improvements in accounting procedures.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Controller with daily, weekly, and month-end accounting activitiesReconcile bank accounts weekly and monthly across multiple entitiesPrepare and post journal entries and month-end accrualsMaintain supporting schedules and close workpapers to support month-end closeAssist with preparing and publishing the monthly financial statementsReconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and drive resolution of open itemsTrack intercompany balances, complete reconciliations, and support settlements across entitiesSupport cash flow planning and contribute to forecasting and budgeting activitiesRespond to document requests from auditors, tax preparers, and investors with accurate, well-organized supportImprove accounting procedures, policies, and systems by identifying gaps and implementing enhancementsDeliver ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as neededSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university3+ years of relevant accounting or audit experienceWorking knowledge of U.S. GAAPIntermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and large-data analysis)Detail-oriented with strong documentation and recordkeeping skillsSelf-motivated and able to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervisionAble to analyze large data sets to identify and explain accounting and reporting variancesAbility to pay close attention to detail and be self-motivatedAbility to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environmentCPA license or active pursuit (e.g., at least two exams passed)Big 4 or national audit firm experienceExperience in financial services, fintech, or lendingMulti-entity accounting experience (intercompany activity and consolidated reporting a plus)Comfort working in a fast-paced close environment with shifting prioritiesGrowth mindset and desire to take on increasing responsibility as the company scalesBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance401k with 4% company match.Time off: Unlimited PTO , 6 days of paid sick time, plus 6 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday (from the HFD approved list).EPIC company cultureCompany OverviewHFD (Healthcare Finance Direct) is a fintech platform that helps healthcare providers offer flexible, affordable pay-over-time financing solutions to every patient, regardless of credit score.
