[Remote] Senior Accountant

This role involves driving accounting functions, financial reporting, and supporting the month-end close process while collaborating with senior leadership.ResponsibilitiesCalculate and record journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAPDrive the month-end close cycle, including preparing and reviewing account reconciliations for cash, accounts receivable, prepaid assets, fixed assets, intangible assets and goodwill, debt, commissions, accruals, leases, and equitySupport the annual financial statement audit processPartner with the Cohere India finance team to record intercompany and consolidation entriesPerform and document technical accounting analysis, including ASC 606 analysis, and maintain accounting policiesSupport customer billing and invoice generationDrive process improvement, system implementations, and technology adoption, including applicable uses of artificial intelligence in the accounting functionSupport cash flow management and working capital analysis to plan and manage liquidity needsSupport finance operational areas, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and travel & expense managementSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting with a demonstrated high level of academic success3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or similar roleProficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and internally developed software accountingPassionate about process improvement and technology adoption, including the use of artificial intelligenceIntermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controlsHighly skilled in using Microsoft ExcelOrganized, productive and detail orientedAbility to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects to completionAble to function independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple prioritiesExercises superior judgment, discretion, interpersonal skills and communication skills to effectively work and communicate on sensitive and confidential issuesBig Four public accounting experience and/or CPA strongly desiredExperience with NetSuiteExperience with multinational reporting and consolidation accountingBenefitsFully remote opportunity with about 5% travelMedical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and Employee Assistance Program401K retirement plan with company match; flexible spending and health savings accountFlex Time Off + company holidaysUp to 14 weeks of paid parental leavePet insuranceCompany OverviewCohere Health is a SaaS company that focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
