They are seeking an entry-level Bioinformatician to join their R&D department, where the successful candidate will establish bioinformatic data analysis solutions and perform analyses for key customer collaborations.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain bioinformatics tools, libraries, and databases analyzing Spatial Proteomics / mIF dataAnalyze and interpret large, complex biological datasets - including spatial proteomics and single-cell data - to support discovery of new drugs, therapies, and biologically meaningful patternsEvaluate, test, and improve existing internal software solutions, and partner with software teams during active development cyclesWork cross-functionally with wetlab and software teams to critically evaluate data from multiplex biomarker assays and translate scientific needs into analysis solutionsCommunicate findings to scientists, researchers, and stakeholders through clear written reports and presentationsChallenge the status quo by engaging in constructive critique of established practices and proposing better alternativesDeliver projects and milestones on time, keeping leadership informed through routine progress updatesMay participate in travel to conferences and tradeshowsSkillsRequires a PhD with extensive bioinformatic analysis backgroundStrong fluency in Python (required); working knowledge of R, MATLAB, or comparable scientific computing environments is a plusDemonstrated ability to design and write clean, reusable functions, modules, and analysis pipelines - not just notebook-style scriptingHands-on experience developing machine-learning or deep-learning models (training, evaluation, and deployment), particularly applied to imaging or single-cell dataAbility to communicate, educate and engage wet lab scientistsExcellent collaboration and interpersonal skillsExperience in microscopy and/or histology is desirable but not a preconditionIndustry experience is not requiredBenefitsPerformance-related incentive401(k) with company matchEmployee stock purchase planMedical and dental plansLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disability insuranceEmployee assistance programPaid time off including vacation, sick time and holidaysCompany OverviewBruker is a manufacturer of analytical and medical instruments covering NMR, ESR, FT-IR, X-RAY spectroscopy.
