Virtual School Psychologist
Location: Remote (Maryland)
Type: FT
Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and qualified Virtual School Psychologists to join our team. As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will work remotely to support students' mental health and educational needs at a Maryland school district. Your role will involve providing psychological assessments, counseling, and consultation services to students, parents, and educational staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will differ depending on the districts needs and your areas of expertise.
Conduct virtual psychological assessments and evaluations.
Provide individual and group counseling to students via secure online platforms.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
Offer crisis intervention and support to students in distress.
Develop and deliver professional development workshops for educators and staff on mental health topics.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and interventions.
Stay current with best practices in school psychology and virtual counseling.
Qualifications:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
Valid School Psychologist license in Maryland.
Experience in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEPs, BIPs, and school-based mental health services.
Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and platforms.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with teletherapy or virtual counseling.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
