[Remote] School Operations Data Specialist

They are seeking a School Operations Data Specialist responsible for analyzing assessment data to improve student achievement and support data analysis training for educators. The role involves maintaining data files, interpreting assessment data, and developing reports for stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesAssist with analyzing local, state, and national assessment data as it relates to individual student performance and school improvement, focused on at-risk studentsDevelop and maintain historical student and school data files to monitor and track performanceInterpret and review assessment data with administrators and teachersCompile data from multiple assessments to develop student, subject, grade-level, or school achievement profilesWork with faculty and staff in schools to conduct training in the use of data to improve instruction to target academic achievement where learning and achievement gaps are presentEnsure the validity of all data presented to staff and stakeholdersAttend, as necessary and appropriate, training sessions/conferences related to assigned responsibilities to effectively use data to inform school improvement initiativesSkillsBachelor's Degree in Data Science or related fieldTwo (2) years of data analyst experienceEquivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to travel at least 25% of the timeAbility to pass required background checkExperience in using academic data to impact instruction and school strategic planningKnowledge of data processing softwareSkilled in explaining testing and statistics to administrators, teachers, and parentsAbility to communicate, both in writing and orally, technical information in a way that is understandable to all stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work effectively with staff from various areas of responsibilityKnowledge of quality management, systems, and strategic planningAbility to learn new software and processes as they become availableSelf-motivated and able to work in a quick paced environmentAbility to design and format data files and tables and to modify and update such structures as requiredAbility to plan and manage multiple tasks in a timely mannerSalesforce Experience working with data from various types of student assessmentsExperience working with large data sets including data analysis, interpretation, and displayExperience working with SQL, SnowflakePossess strong communication, organizational, analytical, and written skillsDemonstrated initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to interact positively with teachers, administrators, and support staffPossess knowledge of the school improvement processProficient in Microsoft OfficeCompany OverviewStride, Inc.
