[Remote] Saw / CNC Trepan Lathe Operator (Houston, TX)

The Saw / CNC Trepan Lathe Operator will set up and operate various saws and CNC lathes to cut and process raw metal materials according to specifications, ensuring quality and safety throughout the production process.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate band saws, circular saws, trepanning machines, and the Goodway CNC lathe to cut, drill, and trepan raw metal materials per work ordersInterpret drawings, work instructions, and material tags to determine correct cut lengths, tolerances, and specificationsMeasure, mark, and inspect materials and finished cuts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy and qualityLoad and unload heavy metal bars, billets, and forgings using overhead cranes while following safe material-handling practicesMonitor cutting operations and adjust speeds, feeds, and machine settings to optimize performance and minimize wastePerform routine machine checks, identify mechanical issues, and report concerns to maintenance or supervisionMaintain accurate production records, cut logs, material traceability, safety stock tracking, and conduct monthly cycle countsFollow all safety requirements, including PPE, machine guarding, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work environmentSkillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic understanding of CNC machinery and metal cutting processesMinimum 1 year of experience operating metal cutting equipment in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specificationsStrong basic math, measurement, and inspection skillsKnowledge of industrial safety practicesForklift or crane certification preferredFamiliarity with SAP or similar manufacturing software systemsExperience with trepanning or deep-hole boring and knowledge of common metals (e.g., stainless steel, Inconel, titanium)BenefitsDiversity & Inclusion: We focus on providing an inclusive environment and recognize our diversity contributes to our success.Paid Holidays: With paid-time off, local holidays are all the way more relaxing.Vacation: We offer time off to refresh and recharge.401K Match: Save for retirement with the company's help.Health Insurance: Rely on comprehensive services whenever you need it.Company OverviewEagleBurgmann is a sealing solutions such as mechanical seals,magnetic couplings,carbon floating ring seals,packings and special products.
