The Salesforce Technical Lead will serve as the senior Salesforce architect, providing architectural direction for the Salesforce org and leading a team of Salesforce Engineers to enhance platform capabilities and integrations.ResponsibilitiesOwn the Salesforce platform architecture: data model, security model, integration architecture, and overall technical health of the orgLead technical design and delivery for complex Salesforce features, integrations, and platform enhancementsDirectly manage two Salesforce Engineers; provide technical direction, code review, mentorship, and career developmentArchitect and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems via Boomi middleware and direct API patternsDefine and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and release management practices across the Salesforce orgLead discovery and requirements analysis sessions with business stakeholders; translate needs into scalable technical specificationsEvaluate third-party AppExchange solutions and advise on build-vs-buy decisionsManage technical debt, governor limit health, and platform security posture including profiles, permission sets, and data sharing rulesDrive Salesforce release management: assess tri-annual release impact, coordinate testing, and manage opt-in adoptionAdvise on Salesforce roadmap alignment in partnership with the VP, Enterprise Applications and Commercial leadershipPartner with the Data Architect on Salesforce data governance, master data strategy, and alignment with Axiom's enterprise data modelContribute to cross-platform architecture decisions in coordination with the VP, Enterprise Applications and peer platform leadsSkills7+ years of Salesforce engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a lead, architect, or senior individual contributor roleExpert-level Apex: asynchronous patterns (Batch, Queueable, Future), SOQL optimization, and governor limit managementSalesforce Platform Developer II required; Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent credential strongly preferredDemonstrated experience designing and governing Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems (Workday, Boomi, or comparable middleware)Strong understanding of the Salesforce security model, sharing architecture, and data access patternsExperience with SFDX, CI/CD pipelines, and version-controlled Salesforce developmentDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineersExcellent communication skills; comfortable in both technical architecture reviews and business stakeholder sessionsEffectively manages priorities in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environmentCPQ or Revenue Cloud experience, a plusBackground in professional services, legal services, or staffing industries, a plusBenefitsA 20% annual bonus depending on experienceHealthcareLife and disability coverage401K with company matchPaid sick and personal time offPaid parental leaveCompany OverviewAs the leading alternative legal services provider globally, Axiom gives in-house legal teams on-demand access to top legal talent and lawyers — deployed when, where, and how clients need it, for up to 50% less than national law firms.
