[Remote] Salesforce Technical Architect

The Technical Architect will be responsible for the technical roadmap and platform engineering excellence for Salesforce, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and maintainability while collaborating with various teams to align technical designs with business needs.ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed technical solution designs, including data models, integration specifications, automation patterns, and security modelsTranslate high‑level solution architecture into implementable technical blueprintsOwn and maintain Salesforce reference architectures, reusable patterns, and guardrailsConduct code and design reviews; ensure alignment with standards, integration patterns, and security policiesLead troubleshooting of complex issues across data, integrations, and platform componentsDesign and oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using API‑first principlesDefine integration contracts, data transformation rules, error handling strategies, and performance requirementsEnsure governance of master data and consistent platform-to-platform interactionsParticipate in Architectural Review Board (ARB) processes for platform‑related decisions; automating governance wherever possiblePartner with Solution Architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business needsCommunicate risks, constraints, and trade‑offs clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholdersSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience5–7+ years building and designing solutions on enterprise platforms, including at least 2–3 years architecting Salesforce or similarly complex systemsProven experience as a senior developer or technical lead on Salesforce, building scalable, secure, and performant solutionsExpertise in Salesforce platform architecture, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, platform events, flows, automation, identity (OAuth/SAML), and integration mechanismsStrong understanding of API‑first design, event‑driven architecture, error handling, and integration patternsHands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and environment strategyStrong grasp of non‑functional design: performance modeling, limits management, data modeling, and secure configurationSalesforce Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or progress toward the Architect trackBenefitsFlexible vacation and Kinaxis Days (company-wide day off on the third Friday of every month)Flexible work optionsPhysical and mental well-being programsRegularly scheduled virtual fitness classesMentorship programs, training, and career developmentRecognition programs and referral rewardsHackathonsCompany OverviewKinaxis is a leading provider of cloud-based subscription software.
