[Remote] Salesforce Sr Engineer - Marketing Technology

The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining business-critical software solutions while providing guidance to junior engineers and collaborating with the team on various technical challenges.
Responsibilities
β’ Apply deep Salesforce technical knowledge to drive outcomes for customers
β’ Ability to work and problem solve independently on initiatives that align to the broader software engineering strategy
β’ Member of team that can work independently, as well as collaboratively with team, in developing core software for the product that delivers outcomes
β’ Consistent and dependable in delivering core software that delivers outcomes and meets/exceeds the teams expectations for stability, scalability, resilience, etc
β’ Shares new Salesforce features, ideas and techniques with team; encourages junior engineers to invest in learning as a part of their job
β’ Participate in teamβs collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise to solve a problem/remove technical roadblocks for the team
β’ Participate in product planning and implementation. Helps team to understand and decompose work
β’ Contribute to develop Salesforce engineering practices , templates and frameworks in collaboration with the team
β’ Continuously assessing technology to build more stable, scalable, and resilient software; Use data to measure progress
β’ Promote and expand on the use of the CI/CD pipeline to improve the deployment and build process
β’ Participates in the team support rotation and provides expert knowledge on focus subsystems
β’ Knowledge of Github, Github actions, feature branching, branch merging
β’ Sound knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
β’ Contribute to define the selection criteria for selecting the right technology vendors
β’ Participate in proof of concept / technology along with the vendor
β’ Provide guidance to junior engineers to help them learn foundational software engineering skills
β’ Provide technical expertise and help the team to solve technical/software issues
β’ Provide trainings to the junior developers (trailhead modules, custom development plans, etc.)
β’ Provide Salesforce domain expertise to junior engineers to help them learn/grow their skills and contribute as part of the team
β’ Engage in the local Salesforce tech community to build the Thrivent technology brand and position as the employer of choice in the market
β’ Participate in the interview process or be part of the panel to recruit the right talent to the team
β’ Contribute to the recruitment to define the structure of the interview process to hire the right talent to the team
Skills
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
β’ 5+ years of salesforce development apex experience, lightning web components (LWCs), apex triggers, apex frameworks, REST APIs, third-party integrations with Salesforce, flows, SOQL, SOSL
β’ Sound knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
β’ Proficiency in managing large-scale Salesforce projects
β’ Ability to articulate and communicate complex Salesforce concepts to a wide audience (technical and non-technical)
β’ Salesforce Certifications β Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer
β’ Experience with implementing Distributed Marketing product within Salesforce Core CRM
