[Remote] Salesforce Platform Engineer

This role involves delivering core capabilities and features of the Salesforce platform, including design, build, security, and operationalization of reusable components to support business products.ResponsibilitiesDrive design, engineering, implementation, and configuration of platform services to support overall enterprise patterns, and reinforcing best practicesDevelop patterns for common platform needs (e.g. logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, encryption, tooling, etc) across all layers of the platform and supporting servicesDeliver explicit APIs and abstractions that offer flexibility for application developers in leveraging the platformWorks with business and technology partners to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of the Salesforce platform integrationsPartner with Information Security representatives to develop, implement and/or execute security configurations and controlsSupport and refine the utilization strategy for the platform and enhance its overall architecture, security, performance, and financial aspectsContribute to platform, product, and architectural roadmaps Platform AdministrationPerforms development of common Salesforce platform components, capabilities, and featuresPerforms development and advanced configuration activities including custom objects and fields, dashboards, reports, workflows, rules, automations, and triggersExperience with Salesforce screen flow and login flowCreates Integrations and/or Connectors between Salesforce.com and other 3rd party applicationsManages the core security model configurations in accordance with information securityProvide Tier 3 Support for core platform services and configuration defect resolutionPerforms new Salesforce release evaluations and assess impactDevelops and maintains automation for deployments to reduce manual processes and improve efficiencies across systems and data centersLeads solution design discussions, develops work effort estimates for implementation and presents solutionsDrafts and maintains solution documentation for platform components, integrations, and common use patterns to meet all architectural, security and operational requirements as defined by the larger client SystemProvides training, coaching and support for issues relating to the Salesforce platform to experience and product teamSkillsBachelor (BA, BS...)5 plus years of direct work-related experienceMust have experience in Salesforce security ModelMust have experience in Salesforce Integration patternsMust have experience in Salesforce Flow optimizationFluent in modern DevOps practicesFamiliar with Source-driven developmentExperience with Salesforce CLIExperience with CI/CD pipelinesAbility to manage sandbox strategies, versioning, branching models, and automated testingProficient with Apex classes, triggers, asynchronous processing and batch jobsUnderstand governor limits, performance optimization, and secure coding on the Salesforce platformUnderstanding of large data volumes, indexing and query performanceStrong knowledge of salesforce limits, multi-object architecture, and scalable patternsExpertise in schema optimization and sharing/model securityExperience with end-to-end testingFamiliar with SFDX test automationEnsure code quality through static analysis, unit testing and test automationStrong understanding of Salesforce security layersAbility to design least-privilege, scalable access modelsFamiliarity with common compliance frameworksAbility to implement change-management controls, auditability, and release governance using SFDX+CI/CDExperience in the CRM, Customer Support, Sales and Marketing domainExperience with the overall Salesforce platform and working knowledge of Salesforce integration approachesExperience delivering Salesforce solutions from design to productionExperience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party solutionsExperience engineering solutions across a heterogenous datacenter, cloud, and SaaS environmentsExperience using standard development practicesExperience with change management systems and processesExperience in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem solvingExperience with scripting languages (power shell or shell scripting)Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (Gitlab)Platform certification is a plusExperience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) highly desiredExperience in Data Cloud is preferredExperience with data loader is preferableBenefitsW2 Only!Company OverviewGlobal Tech Consulting Company All in One.
