The Salesforce Functional Consultant role involves providing advanced functional expertise in the design, configuration, and optimization of Salesforce solutions, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business value.ResponsibilitiesLead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and Business Analysts to understand and document business processes and needsTranslate documented requirements into actionable Salesforce solutionsDesign and configure Salesforce solutions using declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, Reports, Dashboards, etc.)Own the end-to-end solution design and configuration process, leveraging Salesforce declarative tools and best practicesManage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in the SFDC application suite, prioritizing declarative solutionsProvide training and support to end users on Salesforce and related sales and marketing technology tools (e.g., Conga Apttus, Ironclad CLM, DocuSign)Communicate and collaborate with technical resources (Developers) and internal stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions to support business requirementsUtilize Salesforce best practices related to release management and deploy changes from sandboxes to productionCreate and maintain documentation on business processes, requirements, and application configurationIdentify system inefficiencies/gaps, troubleshoot operational issues, and explore opportunities for updates and enhancementsSupport the governance model by working closely with all system partners to ensure minimal impact to organizations within the Salesforce instanceStay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends to proactively recommend improvementsAssist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and change management activitiesCollaborate on cross-cloud projects (Sales, Service, CPQ, Experience Cloud, etc.) as neededSkills5+ years' experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technologySignificant experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems5+ years' experience in Salesforce administration or consulting5+ years' experience with Sales and Support operations3+ years of experience working with the SFDC product suiteExperience with advanced Salesforce configuration (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder, etc.)Intermediate understanding of Salesforce development (Apex, JavaScript) for communicating requirements to developersSalesforce Administrator certification requiredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with user training, documentation, and change managementAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional teamBS, BA, and/or Masters in Business, Computer Science, Information Services, or related disciplineExperience with Salesforce CPQ and CLM applicationsAdditional Salesforce Consultant certifications preferredBenefitsCompetitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total RewardsOther compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offeredFor more information regarding benefits at McKesson, please click here.Company OverviewWelcome to the official LinkedIn page for McKesson Corporation.
