The role involves managing customer-specific programs, maintaining forecasts, and developing strong relationships with clients while executing detailed account plans.ResponsibilitiesDrive sales of Optical Transport Solutions and supporting services offerings with Tier 1, 2, and 3 telecommunications and cable companiesManage both strategic and tactical execution of customer specific programs and projects, while maintaining accurate and timely forecastsEstablish and foster customer and partner relationships at all levelsEffectively develop and execute a detailed account planClearly articulate the advantages of 1Finity’s solutionsSkills5+ years selling solutions (hardware, software, and services) to carriers and/or cable operators with a track record of successfully managing complex accounts with large quotasStrong background in optical transport with experience in professional services, software, and wireless infrastructureExtensive relationships with North American Tier I, II, and III carriers, MSO's, CIP's, etcMust have the ability to establish and expand critical relationships, interfacing directly with customer engineering, architecture, planning, and procurement organizations to develop creative solutions, driving revenue, and solving network and business problemsAble to maintain a high-level of customer satisfactionTrack record of aggressively hunting and quickly closing new opportunitiesPossess a deep understanding of multiple service provider architectures: IP, Ethernet, RF, RAN, and opticalSolutions Approach: Must have the ability to understand complex problems and develop creative solutions to help customers reach business objectivesCommunication Skills: Excellent listener. Ability to effectively communicate both in-person as well as remotely with customers as well as several internal organizations while maintaining a high level of professionalismStrategic: Must have the ability to develop comprehensive sales and account strategies and execute tactical implementation plansTeam Player: Must have the ability to thrive in a team environment, where your success will hinge on your ability to motivate your peers, as well as various levels of support staff to help achieve account goalsAccountability: Must be able to work in a large team environment, but act with authority and maintain full accountabilityAggressive: Must be disciplined, self-motivated, and tenacious.
