The Sales & Outreach Intern will be responsible for outbound prospecting and sales of energy-saving products and services, supporting the sales process, and helping deliver energy-efficiency solutions to clients across the country.ResponsibilitiesMake 60–100 outbound calls per day to promote energy efficiency programsQualify leads for weatherization, water-saving, and energy-efficient product installationsSchedule appointments for Sales Team or close eligible transactions by phoneFollow up on inbound interest and dormant customers and prospectsSupport CRM data entry and maintenance (NetSuite), ensuring accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and customer interactionsMeet or exceed weekly performance metrics including call volume, conversion rate, and appointment settingHelp coordinate sales campaigns, email outreach, and follow-upsCollaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer service) to ensure smooth execution of sales initiativesParticipate in team meetings, training sessions, and client calls as neededSkillsCurrently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related fieldClear, persuasive communicator with strong listening skillsStrong interest in sales, sustainability, and energy efficiency products or home performanceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM tools is a plusCRM experience (NetSuite preferred)Highly organized and goal-orientedSelf-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learnSpanish fluency a plusBachelor's or associate degree or equivalent required (or currently pursuing)1–2 years of call center, sales, or utility program experienceCommitted to diversity and inclusionReliable transportationValid driver's licenseWillingness to travel up to 10%BenefitsReal-world experience in a mission-driven companyExposure to the energy efficiency industry and utility programsMentorship from experienced sales professionalsOpportunity to contribute to meaningful sustainability initiativesCompany OverviewFranklin Energy delivers end-to-end sustainability solutions through a portfolio of intelligent products and services that lower energy costs, reduce carbon and waste, and grow stronger communities and local economies.
