They are seeking a Partner Manager to develop and grow their partner business in the Americas, focusing on expanding and strengthening the partner ecosystem to drive sustainable growth of Valmet’s automation and digital solutions.ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and engaging potential new partners in target industriesOnboarding and enabling partners to become increasingly self‑sufficient in sales and project executionActively supporting partners in winning and delivering customer projects using Valmet technologyIdentify, evaluate, and engage new VARs, system integrators, distributors and agents, aligned with Valmet’s growth strategy in the AmericasDevelop and manage relationships with selected existing partners, acting as their primary commercial and development interfaceLead partner onboarding and enablement, including:Sales and solution trainingGo‑to‑market planningSupport for initial projects and referencesWork jointly with partners on sales opportunities, supporting:Early opportunity identificationSolution definition and positioningCustomer engagement and proposal developmentSupport partners during project execution in cooperation with Valmet delivery, engineering, and product teamsConduct market and industry analysis to identify growth opportunities for partner‑led businessEnsure alignment with global partner frameworks, processes, tools, and governanceAct as a bridge between partners and Valmet’s internal stakeholders (sales, product management, engineering, and services)Travel within the Americas region as required to meet partners and customersSkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in automation, electrical engineering, energy, process engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience in automation, DCS, control systems, or instrumentationExposure to partner business, indirect channel sales, system integrators, VARs, or distributorsExperience working with customers or partners in energy and/or process industriesUnderstanding of industrial sales cycles and solution‑based sellingAbility to work effectively in a matrix and international organizationWillingness to travel regionallyStrong hunter mentality with the drive to open new doors and create opportunities through partnersEnergized by building relationships from scratch and expanding partner presence in new accounts and industriesPersistent, proactive, and comfortable initiating conversations with senior partner and customer stakeholdersStrong interest in partners' business models, with the business acumen to tailor Valmet's engagement approach based on partner profile, strengths, and incentivesCommercially minded, with a clear focus on winning business while safeguarding profitabilityCollaborative team player who builds trust quickly with partners and internal stakeholdersConfident communicator, able to influence without authority across organizations and culturesExperience with Valmet DNA or similar DCS platforms is an advantage but not a requirementBenefitsA generous wage and benefits package that includes a company-funded registered pension planCompany OverviewValmet is a global developer and supplier of technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy industries.
