[Remote] Sales Engineer (Industrial Refrigeration)

They are seeking a Sales Engineer (Industrial Refrigeration) who will be responsible for developing and growing sales opportunities in the industrial refrigeration and process cooling markets, combining technical expertise with business development.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business opportunities within industrial refrigeration, cold storage, food processing, manufacturing, and process cooling marketsBuild and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, OEMs, end users, and refrigeration system integratorsIdentify customer requirements and recommend appropriate cooling and heat exchange solutionsPrepare technical proposals, quotations, and project documentationWork closely with Application Engineering and Product Management teams to develop customized solutionsConduct product presentations, technical training sessions, and customer visitsSupport project specification activities and assist customers with equipment selectionMaintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and account managementUtilize CRM tools to track opportunities, customer interactions, and sales forecastsAttend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer eventsMonitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies within industrial refrigerationSkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field; equivalent industry experience may be consideredMinimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial cooling systems and the understanding of refrigeration principles, heat transfer, and cooling system applications, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentsMin 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office and CRM softwareAbility to travel up to 50% throughout North AmericaExperience with ammonia (NH₃), CO₂, glycol, or industrial refrigeration systemsExperience selling evaporators, condensers, gas coolers, dry coolers, unit coolers, or heat exchangersFamiliarity with food processing, cold storage, distribution centers, or industrial manufacturing facilitiesKnowledge of IIAR, ASHRAE, and refrigeration industry standardsExperience working with contractors, consulting engineers, and refrigeration system designersBenefitsCommissionSupportive, team-driven culture that values collaboration, transparency, and accountabilityOpportunity to grow your career with a global workforce solutions leader serving multiple industriesPeople-first environment that encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to workStrong focus on partnership, innovation, and delivering meaningful results for clients and candidatesCompany OverviewAcara is a premier provider of recruiting and workforce solutions—we help companies compete for talent.
