[Remote] Sales Engineer (Gemlock)

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving growth and expanding market share for Gemlock grooved fire protection products, working closely with engineers, contractors, and distributors to promote solutions and ensure successful adoption in fire protection applications.ResponsibilitiesExpand market share and achieve sales targets for the Gemlock product line within the assigned territoryIdentify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with owners, engineering firms, contractors, and other key stakeholdersPromote the full Gemlock Grooved Product Catalog and drive product acceptance and specification across the regionPresent Gemlock solutions to engineering offices, design consultants, and contractors to influence specifications and project designsConduct technical seminars, product demonstrations, and training sessions to ensure proper understanding and usage of Gemlock productsProvide technical support and guidance throughout the design, selection, and installation phasesMaintain a structured weekly reporting process, including activity updates, market intelligence, competitive insights, and progressDevelop and execute territory sales plans aligned with company goalsCoordinate with internal sales colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment across the regionBuild strong relationships with local Gemlock distributors, ensuring they have current product information, pricing, and sales toolsSupport distributors with joint sales calls, training, and project pursuit strategiesVisit job sites to monitor installation practices, provide field training when needed, and ensure proper product applicationAssist in collaboration with Brecco’s Engineering DepartmentProvide feedback from the field to support continuous product improvement and customer satisfactionSkillsEngineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Fire Protection, or related field preferred)Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with piping systems, fire protection products, or mechanical componentsExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skillsAbility to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time) across the Northeast regionProfessional, self‑motivated, and capable of working independentlyResidence within the Northeast regionExperience in fire protection, mechanical piping, or construction industriesKnowledge of grooved piping systems, fire codes, and industry standards (NFPA, UL/FM)Prior experience working with engineering firms, contractors, or distribution networksCompany OverviewCore & Main is a specialized distributor that provides water, storm drainage, and fire protection products and solutions.
