In the Sales Engineer – Commercial Banking & Financial Services role, you will serve as a strategic advisor to mid-market banking and financial services organizations, helping customers modernize operations through Automation and AI while partnering with sales teams to identify and leverage automation opportunities.ResponsibilitiesEvangelize the value that Automation and AI bring to banking and financial services organizations by combining digital workforce capabilities with advanced AI/ML technologiesAct as a trusted advisor to mid-market banks, credit unions, financial services firms, and fintech organizations seeking to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, compliance, and scalabilityUnderstand key industry trends, regulatory pressures, and operational challenges impacting banking and financial services organizations, including areas such as loan operations, KYC/AML, fraud detection, servicing, treasury operations, finance, and back-office transformationPartner closely with sales teams to define account strategy, expand UiPath’s footprint within financial services accounts, and align solutions to desired business and operational outcomesLead discovery workshops and process assessments to identify automation opportunities across banking and financial operations, quantify value realization, and develop transformation roadmapsBuild and deliver industry-specific demonstrations, solution architectures, and proof of value (PoV) engagements tailored to banking and financial services use casesCollaborate with Product & Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and partner teams to refine industry solutions, accelerators, and go-to-market strategies for financial services customersServe as a thought leader around intelligent automation, operational excellence, and AI-powered transformation within the banking and financial services industryShare lessons learned, best practices, and industry insights across the UiPath GTM organizationProvide ongoing feedback from customers and the field to influence product innovation and improve customer outcomesSkillsExperience in a customer-facing, consulting, sales engineering, or solution advisory roleStrong understanding of operational processes within banking and financial services organizations, including lending, servicing, compliance, finance operations, or customer onboardingStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable technology-driven solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and executive business audiencesAbility to understand technical landscapes and architect enterprise-grade automation solutionsDemonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate measurable business valueKnowledge of Lean principles, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement methodologiesStrong collaboration skills with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externallyCuriosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning emerging technologies and industry trendsAbility to travel up to 25%Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for this roleExperience supporting banking, financial services, fintech, insurance, or highly regulated industriesExperience leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, workflow modernization, or RPA technologiesA background in consulting, sales engineering, automation programs, or financial services transformation initiatives is highly desirableCompany OverviewUiPath is a software company that designs and develops robotic process automation and artificial intelligence applications.
