[Remote] Sales Engineer (Application Security)

They are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer who will assist the sales team in addressing customers' application security challenges by providing technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle.ResponsibilitiesUse consultative selling skills with customers to understand technical requirements and provide solutions using Thales productsPrepare and deliver solution Presentations, Demonstrations, Proof of Concepts for Thales SolutionsProvide high-level consultation and enablement on the company’s products and capabilities to Partners, End-Users, and other departments as part of the sales cycleWork closely with Product Management and Business Development to identify, evaluate, and make technical recommendations regarding strategic product enhancements based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships, or customer requirementsWork with the Customer Success and Technical Support teams to ensure customer satisfactionPrepare workflows and answers to Requests for Proposals, Request for Information, and project proposalsMaintain a high degree of technical awareness of relevant products, competitors, and trends in the marketplaceSkills5+ years of Sales Engineering experience in more than one of the following areas: DDoS Mitigation, Web application firewalls, API Management & Security, Bot Management or related cybersecurity solutionsKnowledge of the Application Security industry, products, vendor landscape, history, and emerging trendsMust have a foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, CDN, load balancers, proxies, and firewallsHands on experience in AWS/Azure/GCP, K8s, Docker, or other containerization technologiesPrior experience in API security, API management, SIEM, DevOps, DevSecOps is desirableCompliance standards knowledge (PCI, SOX, HIPAA) – an advantageExperience with using value-selling/consultative methodologies, playbooks, and processesAble to effectively present technical material to small and large groupsUp to 30% travelApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer at the time of hire.
