The Sales & Business Development Manager for Data Centers will be responsible for generating and developing national sales opportunities while establishing strong relationships with customers to promote Clarke Energy's offerings.ResponsibilitiesGenerate sales national opportunitiesSales Focus - Meet with prospective and existing customers to develop new potential projects to maintain a healthy proposals pipelineDevelop the proposals pipeline to close a profitable and risk managed order book for Clarke Energy USA, in line or exceeding sales targetsPromote and build understanding of the Clarke Energy offer, and how this differentiates the Company from its competitorsEstablish strong relationships in order to become a valued technical & commercial resource to the customerRespond to all customer enquiries, ensuring that responses are accurate and timelyManage the preparation of customer focused technical, pricing, commercial quotations, feasibility reports and other documentation, liaising and working with other internal functions as necessaryManage, organize and update customer records electronically and in hard copy files in the correct format required by the internal processesUndertake research and provide market, competitor, and regulatory feedback to the Marketing functionProvide input to the order forecast, budget and sales and marketing planAttend conferences and exhibitions when requiredIn line with product decision, determine the key objectives and possible options to be covered in the proposal, coordinating the supply of the necessary information, organizing the various estimates, and defining the scope of supplyWork in partnership with Engineering, Commercial and Project Managers as appropriate in order to evaluate technical risk and commercial termsAid the proposals team with preparing RFQâs for suppliers/subcontractors against specs and T&CâsMonitor progress and status of proposals, maintaining accurate recordsReview customer requirements to ensure detailed technical proposals are prepared in accordance with such requirements while ensuring that Clarke Energy internal metrics are maintained for margin, commercial risk and technical riskAttend site for technical and layout surveys assessing feasibility of project delivery as well as determining all mechanical and electrical integration elementsDesign, specify and select scope and balance of plant including but not limited to mechanical and electrical systems required for an operational gas fired generation plantArrange regular Work in Progress meetings with the Proposals team, taking action as necessary to ensure that all activity is on target in terms of quality and timescalesSupport and assist in the Sales stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided in accordance with the required timescales and quality standardsEnsure that Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures are adhered to in all work undertakenSkillsDegree in Engineering (or similar technical subject) from a recognized institution (alternative higher education certificates may be considered where supported by relevant industrial experience)Good understanding of both electrical and mechanical engineeringGood understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental regulationsGood IT skills â Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft ProjectProven success in technical sales with strong commercial acumenSelfâmotivated, resultsâoriented, and able to work independentlyDemonstrated reliability, integrity, and professionalismStrong persuasion, negotiation, and communication skillsHigh level of customer focus; responsive and relationshipâdrivenAnalytical thinker with sound judgment and balanced decisionâmakingResilient under pressure with determination to meet targetsEffective time management and organizational skillsCollaborative team player who supports colleaguesCommitment to quality, continuous improvement, and personal developmentConfident in technical expertise and representing company productsWillingness to travel extensively throughout the Northeast and across the U.SExperience developing and selling engineered solutions involving reciprocating engines (CHP or similar complex energy systems preferred)Background in electrical and/or mechanical engineeringFamiliarity with CHP installations, steamâraising plant, and ancillary equipment (preferred but not required)BenefitsMedicalDentalVision401k401(k) with Rehlko matchingCompetitive compensation and benefitsWork-life flexibilityRecognition and rewardsDevelopment and career opportunitiesA safe and inclusive workplaceCompany OverviewRehlko is a global leader in energy resilience, delivering the solutions critical to sustain and improve life.
