They are seeking a Royalty Analyst, Merchandise Licensing to assist in compliance examinations and audits on behalf of clients in the entertainment sector.ResponsibilitiesAssist managers with merchandise licensing audits on behalf of Consumer Products Companies, Fortune 500 Companies, and other intellectual property rights holdersAssist with planning audit steps and budgeting for anticipated audit engagementsLiaise with representatives regarding document requests and reviewPrepare written report of findings including calculations claims and narrative describing procedures performedStay abreast of topics impacting participations, such as new exploitation platforms, international distribution, or new guild agreementsOrganize and manipulate large electronic datasetsMaintain organization of filesDraft summarizations of contractsAccumulate and summarize data from clients and auditeesConduct analysis to create claim schedulesConduct fieldwork at auditee officesConduct internet researchOther projects and duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree is required0-2 years of experience in a similar role, or new grads with internshipsAdvanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas (such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF) – bonus points for experience with Power Pivot and Power QueryA genuine interest in the merchandise licensing business and merchandise royaltiesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong time management skills to prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsDegrees in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or Mathematics is preferredWhile not required, experience or education in the merchandise licensing business, particularly merchandise licensing royalties and royalty audits are beneficialBenefitsOther rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.Company OverviewFounded in 1967, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GRF") is a leading full-service business management firm for an exclusive assortment of entertainers, executives and select high net worth individuals.
