Client: State of Louisiana
Location: Remote
Duration: Long-term Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Analyze and document data conversion requirements, approach, and strategy.
ā¢ Map legacy data files and elements to new system tables/columns, including translation and foreign key rules.
ā¢ Independently develop program modules using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) based on provided designs/storyboards.
ā¢ Create and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
ā¢ Execute and monitor team members' SSIS programs; troubleshoot and resolve runtime issues.
ā¢ Resolve SSIS program errors and performance issues without assistance.
ā¢ Analyze and troubleshoot data integrity issues and discrepancies.
ā¢ Review and test new code and conversion program modules for accuracy.
ā¢ Test data conversion results within the system.
ā¢ Participate in team meetings and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
ā¢ Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to State personnel.
Required Skills & Experience:
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in application development with a focus on:
ā¢ SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and ETL tools
ā¢ Complex SQL query development
ā¢ SQL Server environments
ā¢ Creating and maintaining SQL Server Agents (SSA)
ā¢ Working in relational database environments
ā¢ 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Preferred Skills:
ā¢ Experience with GitHub version control, including complex branching strategies
ā¢ Previous work on data conversion projects and processes
ā¢ Experience identifying and addressing data quality issues
ā¢ Experience with large-scale public sector IT projects
ā¢ Experience using JIRA
ā¢ Experience with mainframe systems and Lotus Notes applications
ā¢ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
ā¢ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
ā¢ High attention to detail and accuracy
ā¢ Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts
ā¢ Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
