[Remote] Robotics Solutions Engineer – Robotics Data Collection & Physical AI

They are seeking a Robotics Solutions Engineer to collaborate with innovative robotics teams, design data capture solutions, and lead technical pilots that translate real-world robotics problems into actionable datasets and strategies.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Innodata Client Partners to scope and deliver technical pilots and POCs, earning the “technical win” with new and existing robotics customersWork closely with Engineering and Product to design and implement robotics data capture solutions (real‑world, lab, and simulation), including sensors/rigs, teleop/UMI flows, and egocentric capture pipelinesCollaborate directly with customers’ robotics and ML teams to understand their architectures (VLMs, VLAs, ACTs, world models, policies), define data and evaluation requirements, design execution plans, and translate them into actionable Statements of WorkDesign and run customized demos, playbooks, and experimental workflows that showcase robotics data capabilities and shorten the time from idea to production pilotAct as the technical owner of the customer experience: unblock integrations, debug data/workflow issues, and advise on best practices for data quality, coverage, and evaluationCollaborate closely with Robotics Project Leads to ensure clean handoff from pre‑sales design to delivery, align on scope and success metrics, and support smooth execution of data collection programsBring structured, frontline feedback from customers back into Innodata’s product and roadmap discussions, helping shape a scalable Robotics & Physical AI data practice and platformRepresent Innodata at key industry events, conferences, and workshops, and contribute as a thought leader through talks, blog posts, and open artifacts that share learnings from our robotics data workSkillsStrong engineering background in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field3+ years of experience developing with Python and one or more additional languages commonly used in robotics/ML (e.g., C++, Java), plus comfort working in Linux‑based environmentsHands‑on experience with robotics or Physical AI systems (e.g., perception/control stacks, teleoperation, simulation, or robotics data pipelines)Desire to conduct ongoing research and be a thought leader in world models and robotics modelsExcellent presentation and communication skills, with the technical credibility to work with both senior executives and front‑line engineersProven ability to manage complex technical projects, juggle multiple customer engagements, and operate with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detailHigh comfort working cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations in a fast‑moving environment, including some customer travel as neededPrior experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical partnerships for data/AI/robotics productsExperience selling or supporting complex technical solutions with enterprise customersFamiliarity with large‑scale dataset design, evaluation frameworks, or robotics data marketplacesCompany Overview(NASDAQ: INOD) Innodata is a global data engineering company.
