The Robotics Business Development Manager will support proactive business development in the Consumer Industries segment, engaging with potential end users and promoting ABB's collaborative robot portfolio.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and engage with potential end users, system integrators, machine builders, and channel partners to promote ABB’s collaborative robot portfolio in the warehousing, logistics, and food & beverage environmentsCollaborate closely with ABB’s robotics channel partners and territory sales teams to support robotics opportunity development and qualification, and conduct technical discovery sessions and product demonstrations to showcase robotics capabilities and value propositionsPartner with marketing to implement targeted campaigns, regional events, and webinars to raise awareness of ABB's offerings, and represent ABB at industry trade shows, expos, and automation events to increase ABB Robotics visibility and market shareProvide voice-of-customer feedback to global product management and engineering teams to support portfolio evolution, and maintain deep knowledge of competitive offerings and industry trends in all roboticsSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Business, or related field, and 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within industrial automation, robotics, or collaborative robotics; or other combination of degree and work experience, i.e. Associate's degree and 7+ yearsDeep experience and knowledge in environments core to food and beverage, warehousing and logistics environments manufacturing and production environmentsExperience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage a sales pipelineWillingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S. and a focus within your specified territory (MI, IN, IL, KY, MO, IA, WI, MN)Strong understanding of robotic applications used in Consumer Industry applications (picking, packing, palletizing, mobile robotics) desiredStrong technical aptitude and ability to communicate value-based selling strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences desiredBenefitsChoice between two medical plan options: A PPO plan called the Copay Plan OR a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) called the High Deductible Plan.Choice between two dental plan options: Core and Core PlusVision benefitCompany paid life insurance (2X base pay)Company paid AD&D (1X base pay)Voluntary life and AD&D – 100% employee paid up to maximumsShort Term Disability – up to 26 weeks – Company paidLong Term Disability – 60% of pay – Company paid.
