160819 Remote Risk Manager- Risk Management & Patient Safety,, 2 Months contract Sigma, Inc. is looking for Remote Risk Manager with Beth Israel Lahey Health Hospital and Medical Center Schedule : • Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5.00 PM • Must be separated from BILH for 6 months and in good standing to be considered (perm, per diem, contract). Required Qualifications : • Prior Risk Management experience is imperative. • Ability to filter through legal documents. • Know what a serious reportable event (SRE) is and do an RCS. • Understand hospital operations, risk mitigation, malpractice. Masters in Nursing not necessary, nice to have. • The goal is to review and adjudicate safety event reports and support this team. • Review / analyze, triage, and follow up on and close safety event reports. • Reviewing Safety reports, perform RCA's (route cause analysis) on serious safety events. • This department of 3 Specialists receives lawsuits and claims. • They read / analyze them and understand if they need to connect with malpractice insurer. • They focus on identifying, mitigating, prevent risks to protect safety of staff and patient safety.
