[Remote] Revenue Accounting Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Steely Group is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager who will independently manage revenue accounting activities and drive process improvements. This role involves analyzing and preparing monthly revenue workpapers, supporting the revenue close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.ResponsibilitiesAnalysis and preparation of monthly revenue workpapers – reserves, journal entries, revenue workbookSupport the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, ensuring efficiency and effectivenessPrepare, maintain, and update internal control documentation including process narratives and control matrices. Support internal controls testingResearch and document appropriate FASB ASC 606 accounting treatment as neededPrepare and review reporting on various pricing matrices to Government entitiesPartner with cross-functional teams including finance, commercial, and various business owners on a variety of projectsProvide key support for the implementation of new launches (regions/products) as they interface with the revenue accounting processes and systemsManage day-to-day transactional order-to-cash activities (e.g., AR aging, cash collections, cash applications) to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, SOX controls, and external auditOther ad-hoc projects as neededThe Manager will courageously perform all responsibilities in a manner that ensures compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies related to revenue recognitionSkillsMinimum 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a significant focus on revenue recognition (ASC 606)Recent and significant experience at a publicly traded companyStrong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements, specifically as they relate to revenue and receivablesProven ability to manage and execute a complex monthly/quarterly close processAdvanced computer system skills (e.g., Office, Oracle, Power BI)Ability to analyze data and identify significant trendsAbility to work accurately and effectively under pressureExcellent communication skills, strong spoken and written EnglishDemonstrated experience in a technical accounting role within the Life Science, Biotech, or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferredPrevious experience working at Big 4 accounting firm / CPA preferredBilingual (Spanish) preferredCompany OverviewThe Steely Group offers clinical, healthcare, and human resource recruitments and staffing solutions.
