[Remote] Revenue Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hunter Hamilton is hiring an Accountant II to join their Global Order to Cash Accounting team focused on multinational SaaS operations. This role involves agency commissions accounting and requires strong analytical skills and collaboration across various finance teams.ResponsibilitiesSupport the agency commissions accounting process and partner with Revenue & Growth, AP, AR, and Billing teams to ensure alignment and reporting accuracyPrepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and OTC financial reporting schedulesAssist with monthly, quarterly, year-to-date, and year-over-year variance analysis and supporting schedulesMaintain monthly close templates, reconciliations, and assigned OTC accounting processesSupport revenue recognition and order-to-cash accounting activities within a SaaS environmentAssist with SOX compliance efforts, including internal controls documentation and process narrativesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial reporting accuracy, completeness, and audit readinessPrepare audit support documentation and respond to internal and external audit requestsInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues in a timely mannerIdentify opportunities to improve processes, automate recurring tasks, and streamline workflowsManage multiple deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced accounting environmentSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within SaaS or multinational organizationsUnderstanding of US GAAP, IFRS, revenue recognition, and OTC accounting processesExperience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activitiesStrong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysisStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independentlyWorkday Financials experience highly preferredExperience with Zuora, Alteryx, SQL, or AI tools is a plusCompany OverviewHunter Hamilton offers finance and accounting recruiting and jobs for the Kansas City and Minneapolis markets.
