[Remote] Remote- Systems Analyst/ Systems Engineer / Mainframe Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst to join their Brokerage Technology Corporate Actions team. This role involves supporting modernization efforts of legacy systems and collaborating with architecture and software engineering to deliver a roadmap for new systems. Responsibilities • Facilitating flow of requirements from the business to the technology team • Reducing requirements and design risk and resulting costs associated with errors • Exercise a passion for keeping your knowledge up to date with evolving technology • Take ownership and accountability for figuring out what needs to be done Skills • Mainframe • Financial Services experience (Corporate Actions experience would be ideal) • Java • Automation experience (Jest or Cucumber) • DB Querying, Stored Procedures SQL, Oracle or DB2 • Cloud exposure (AWS preferred) • Deep knowledge of Mainframe COBOL, VSAM files, Batch/Online Process, Batch Scheduler, IOM (Input/Output Modules) and CICS • Experience in finance domain and corporate actions • Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) preferably worked with DB2, Oracle and/or Postgres and digging into data using logging tools • Proven professional experience as a Systems Analyst for software solutions, preference around modernizing from legacy to cloud systems. Knowledge of payment systems is a bonus • Experience researching, optimizing, developing, and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems • Proven experience with Agile development methodologies • Excellent analytical, problem-solving & interpersonal skills • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related technology discipline Company Overview • We are a prominent executive search & selection company, providing a wide range of recruitment solutions for various requirements.
