The role involves managing complex accrual-based accounting tasks for multiple clients, demonstrating strong analytical skills and delivering timely results.ResponsibilitiesMaintain assigned clients within approved budget and scope, on an accrual basis, proactively managing utilization and administrative requirements, often with support from an AssociateTrack time on client engagements, manage work within established budgets, and clearly explain budget varianceLead client meetings and provide high level customer service and financial insightPartner with third party advisors and client stakeholders as neededTake full ownership of writing and updating the Client Procedure Manual to ensure it is complete and accurate at all timesSupport and manage clients transitioning out of Implementation, assuming ownership through stabilization and ongoing service deliveryNavigate complex or undefined client situations that are not fully documented or prescriptiveAct as a proactive change agent by identifying inefficient processes and workflows and recommending improvementsOwn and execute accurate and timely month end close and financial reporting, including class reporting, job costing, trend analysis, and variance reviewDemonstrate sustained ownership of month end close deliverables with minimal rework or escalation and limited oversightReview work for accuracy and completeness and ensure timely inputs aligned with month end close requirementsUpdate various KPIS, dashboards and reports and budgets in JiravManage all aspects of core and complex accounting areas, including the following:Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including unbilled revenue, deferred income, bad debt allowances, and other advanced accounting mattersManage fixed asset and intangible asset accounting, including maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules and recording journal entries for asset acquisitions and disposalsPayroll processing using Intuit or other third-party payroll applications and review quarterly and annual reports such as: W-2, W-3, 941, and state U/E.
