The Remote Operations Specialist will oversee BVLOS drone operations, ensuring safety and compliance while managing resources and supporting pilot development within the Remote Operations Center.ResponsibilitiesServe as the ROC Manager on Duty — overseeing day-to-day BVLOS operations including workload prioritization, pilot tasking, and real-time guidance and feedback to active pilots across the Sentry networkEnsure the safety and regulatory compliance of all ongoing BVLOS operations, maintaining adherence to FAA requirements and Raptor Maps' operational standards at all timesPrioritize and assign inspections based on resource availability, stakeholder requests, and operational urgency — balancing ongoing scheduled operations against time-sensitive requestsDevelop and maintain ROC systems and infrastructure to reduce manual lift and improve operational visibilitySupport ROC pilot development by providing real-time guidance, structured feedback, and ongoing trainingContribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of ROC SOPsMaintain a current FAA Part 107 certificate and stay informed on FAA regulations, BVLOS rulemaking, and trends in unmanned robotic operations relevant to Raptor Maps' fleetSkills2+ years of experience in drone operationsDemonstrated ability to manage competing operational priorities in real time with strong situational awareness and sound judgmentExperience developing or maintaining operational systems, SOPs, or compliance documentation in a safety-critical environmentClear, confident communication skills — able to provide real-time guidance to pilots and coordinate across internal teams simultaneouslyMust be located in the contiguous US and authorized to work in the USExperience operating or managing BVLOS drone missions at scaleFamiliarity with FlightHub 2, or similar autonomous drone mission planning platformsBackground in solar PV operations or infrastructure inspectionFamiliarity with terrain modeling and low-altitude flight planningPrior startup or high-growth environment experience where operational systems were built from an early stageCurrent FAA Part 107, or equivalent foreign, Remote Pilot Certificate thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations and BVLOS operational requirementsRemote operations center management, or experience in a closely related fieldCompany OverviewRaptor Maps provides performance intelligence solutions for solar asset management.
