[Remote] Remote Non-QM Loan Underwriter- West Coast Only

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NMS is seeking a Remote Non-QM Loan Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications. The role involves ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements while maintaining a high level of service and accuracy. Responsibilities • Review and analyze loan files, including income documentation, credit reports, and asset verification for Bank Statement, DSCR, and Asset Depletion loans • Underwrite and approve or deny loan applications based on the company’s guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements • Communicate with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation and resolve any issues • Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant before final approval or denial • Stay current with industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices regarding Non-QM loan products • Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and other team members as needed • Maintain a high level of productivity and quality assurance while meeting deadlines Skills • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in underwriting Non-QM loans • Strong knowledge and experience with Bank Statement, DSCR, and Asset Depletion products • Experience Underwriting Non-QM products within the past year • Deep understanding of underwriting guidelines, regulations, and compliance standards related to Non-QM loans • Proven ability to handle a high volume of loan files while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Benefits • No bonus • Paid OT Company Overview • NMS (National Mortgage Staffing), we specialize in providing top-notch direct hire and temporary recruitment services tailored to your company’s needs in the financial industry.
