They are seeking an Interim Director of Tax to oversee global tax strategy, compliance, reporting, audits, and planning, partnering closely with various departments to provide practical tax guidance and support international expansion.ResponsibilitiesLead global income tax compliance, including preparation and review of federal, state, local, and international returnsOversee indirect tax compliance (sales & use tax, telecom taxes) and related paymentsDevelop and execute tax strategies to optimize position and reduce global tax exposureOwn the ASC 740 tax provision process, including reporting and disclosuresLead tax audits across all jurisdictionsProvide forecasting for effective tax rates and cash tax impactsMonitor and interpret tax law changes and assess accounting implicationsResolve complex tax matters and present insights to leadershipSupport tax due diligence, structuring, and transaction advisory initiativesEnsure transfer pricing compliance and documentation globallyEstablish and maintain tax policies supporting GAAP compliance, SOX readiness, and strong controlsManage external advisors and coordinate audit supportPartner on key initiatives including system implementations, billing transformations, and product launchesLead telecom tax strategy including taxability, registrations, billing logic, exemptions, filings, and auditsDrive adoption of AI and automation within the tax functionLead special projects and broader finance transformation effortsBuild and mentor a high-performing, continuous-improvement tax teamSkillsBachelor's in Accounting or Taxation; CPA required (public accounting strongly preferred)~12+ years of progressive tax experience in public multinational SaaS, technology, or telecom environmentsStrong expertise across U.S. GAAP tax accounting and multi-jurisdictional tax regimesStrong communicator with ability to translate complex tax concepts for non-technical audiencesProven leadership and ability to influence across functions and levelsStrong organizational, analytical, and multi-priority management skillsExperience with NetSuite and tax systems such as SureTax (or equivalent)Company OverviewThe PCG Talent team has served clients and candidates for over 20 years across finance, accounting, HR, sales/marketing, legal, and IT roles.
