The role involves targeting and developing new client sales opportunities, managing complex sales processes, and liaising between customers and internal teams to successfully position Aztec solutions.ResponsibilitiesEmploy effective consultative sales techniques positioning our broad portfolio of software and print Adult Basic Education solutions, customization, and integration services sufficient to exceed annual targetsManage complex sales opportunities ensuring buy-in from all client stakeholdersCoordinate the development of comprehensive proposals in response to client RFPs leveraging the organizations subject matter experts (SMEs) and resourcesParticipate in regional and national sales events, meetings, tradeshows/conferences within the territory as directedTarget and capture new clients leveraging leads generated through targeted outbound prospecting, and marketing demand generation activitiesDocument and track all activity through web-based client relationship management (CRM) automation tools, including detailed activity reports, setting tasks for follow-up, lead tracking, and probability statisticsMaintain sufficient knowledge and understanding of the educational software market and the potential impact of new and existing competitorsImplement organizational initiatives into sales territory leveraging marketing campaigns and promotions to influence market reachVia strategic prospect segmentation, seek out and prioritize prospective customers and business opportunitiesDevelop and maintain a sales pipeline and forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growthStay current on Aztec existing and emerging product and technologies and help bring voice of customer back into the organizationDocument all client related activity, including calls, e-mails, meeting and opportunities in Aztec’s CRM systemExecute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner, assuring a favorable impression of self and the companyWorking in conjunction with an account-based relationship manager, they will introduce and successfully transfer ownership of new accounts for additional revenue opportunitiesSkillsA valid driver's license and reliable transportationBe a great people person with a proven track record on growing accounts and building trust-based value add relationshipsThe confidence to navigate complex organizations with multiple stakeholdersYou'll be smart, curious and convincing – we have an incredible set of solutions and want you to help us grow along our missionStrong Manager presence, with the ability to speak with everyone across an organization from C-Level Managers to teachers and everyone in betweenWe drive continuous improvement, so a willingness to adapt and receive feedback is a mustStrong team work ethic, with a willingness to roll up your sleevesWillingness to travel 20% – 40%Bachelor's degree requiredFive or more years of outside sales experience with history of successDemonstrated success in developing innovative business building programs, making presentation/recommendations, and gaining alignmentDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including Manager and C-levelBe able to perform with minimal supervisionExperience selling training solutions and servicesExperience in SAAS and Educational Technology salesExperience in community college, correctional, or workforce solutions areasExperience working with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)Benefits401(k)Dental & Vision insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceMileage reimbursementPaid time offCommission payCompany OverviewAztec creates generational change for undereducated, underemployed adults offering academic upskilling, financial wellness, and CTE It was founded in 1980, and is headquartered in Springfield, New Jersey, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
