[Remote] Reliability Engineer for Hardware Reliability Engineering Team with a Global Consumer Device Company

The role involves executing reliability tests on Main Logic Boards, conducting failure analysis, and providing design recommendations to enhance product reliability.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and execution of detailed test plans and compiling test & failure dataStatistical data analysis to provide risk assessments for the product designResearch failure modes for new technologies to perform extensive FMEA (Failure Modes & Effect Analysis)Prioritizing and completing tasks to meet deadlinesProviding design recommendations to cross-functional team to improve product reliabilityInteracting with a wide variety of individuals and teams to communicate resultsSkills3+ years of experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/ Drop/Vibration Testing & Environmental TestsIn depth understanding of failure Analysis analytical techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-Ray, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS etc)Knowledge of JEDEC/IPC standards for semiconductor package qualificationsExtensive experience with Silicon product level reliability qualification, associated failure modes and lifetime behavior modelingExtraordinary problem solving abilitiesExcellent communication & interpersonal skills to be able to provide concise summaries to senior executive team and drive in-depth discussions with cross- functional teamStrong attention to detail, to drive architecture in the early phase of the projectsEfficient time management skills to handle multiple projects at the same timeDynamic and 'can do' attitude with collaborative spirit and product enthusiasmMasters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or an equivalent fieldExperience with semiconductor packages or consumer electronics is a plusCompany OverviewOSI Engineering is a premier Staff Augmentation and Managed Services partner for today's tech leaders and tomorrow's luminaries.
