[Remote] Release Program Manager – Azure DevOps Governance

The Release Program Manager will oversee the end-to-end release management and governance for catalog-based offerings, ensuring timely and quality releases while coordinating between engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesSupport the full release lifecycle (intake → validation → release → post-release tracking)Validate release requests, including dependencies, readiness, and required inputs prior to submissionCoordinate timelines, milestones, and deliverables across stakeholdersTrack release status, risks, and blockers and drive resolution to ensure on-time deliveryDefine and maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) structures, work items, and tracking frameworksEnsure ADO remains the single source of truth for release tracking and reportingCreate and manage: Features, Product Backlog Items (PBIs), and task hierarchiesIteration paths and delivery timelinesChange request tracking and backlog prioritizationGovern ADO usage to prevent duplication, data gaps, and misalignment across teamsIdentify and implement improvements across release workflowsDrive standardization of: Catalog release processesAsset updates and go-to-market workflowsADO fields, templates, and tracking modelsPerform gap analysis across systems and resolve inconsistenciesServe as the central point of coordination across business, engineering, and operations teamsFacilitate sync meetings, release readiness reviews, and governance checkpointsEnsure stakeholders meet milestones and provide required inputs on timeBuild and maintain dashboards and reporting views for: Active releasesChange requestsPortfolio health and timelinesProvide leadership updates and insights using ADO dataManage release communication cadence (e.g., updates, newsletters, briefings)Communicate timelines, release freezes, and key milestones clearly across stakeholdersSupport change communications for new or retired offeringsSupport asset updates, submissions, and validations across internal systemsEnsure completeness and accuracy of release artifacts (e.g., documentation, asset lists)Provide ad-hoc support for urgent release activities and changesSkillsAzure DevOps (ADO) Expertise (3+ years)Work item management (Features, PBIs, Tasks)Backlog management and iteration planningReporting and dashboard creationRelease / Program Management Experience (5+ years)Experience managing structured release or delivery lifecyclesFamiliarity with intake, validation, execution, and release processesProcess & Workflow Governance (3+ years)Experience designing and managing workflows in structured environmentsAbility to enforce governance and standardizationStrong cross-functional stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to manage dependencies, risks, and timelines independently5+ years in Release Management, Program Management, or Technical Project ManagementExperience working in highly structured, process-driven environmentsProven ability to operate with minimal supervision and drive execution proactivelyExperience coordinating across engineering, business, and operations teamsFamiliarity with lifecycle-based portfolio or catalog management processesExperience performing system/data gap analysis and driving improvementsStrong communication skills, including executive-level reporting and stakeholder updatesBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverageFlexible Spending Account401k programCompetitive PTO offeringsParental LeaveOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCompany OverviewBlueprint is redefining the data solutions ecosystem.
